Organisation of the curriculum
The Master is organized in 4 semesters (from S1 to S4), structured in EU (unit of teaching) obligatory or choice. Each EU has a credit value (ECTS). Each semester is validated by 30 ECTS. The Master is obtained after having validated 120 ECTS.
M1: First year of Master
The UEs are organised follows:
- In S1: Prolegomena: Physics, Mathematics, Algorithms, Cell Biology and Biological Functions. Experimental Physics; Basic elements of radioactivity; Basics in the field of Health; Health Structures and Issues; Structural biochemistry; English; PhyMed project; One EU of choice: Experimental Physics / Biochemistry Techniques.
- In S2: radiation-matter / radiation protection interactions; Physics and propagation of radiation; Radiation therapy; Physics of biological systems; Cell physiology Detection and dosimetry of ionizing radiation; Fields of application of ICTs in health; M1 PhyMed internship; One of your choice: Sensors and Image Processing / Neuroprosthesis and Medical Robotics 1.
M2: Second year of Master
The UEs are organised follows:
- In S3: Physics of medical imaging; Medical imaging ; Biophotonics and mass spectrometry; Nano-probe microscopy, near field and evanescent wave; Protection against external / internal exposure of radioactivity; PhyMed project. An EU of choice: Biology and Electronics / Neuroprosthesis and Medical Robotics 2.
- In S4: Bibliographic analysis / Scientific watch; Introduction to business / research; Internship in a company, hospital or laboratory.
