Investing in science and digital technology means joining professions with a bright future. Demographic changes, an aging population, general advances in medicine, the quest for safety, the complexity of processes, the development of new molecules, and technological developments in medicine are increasing healthcare requirements. In terms of therapeutic research, healthcare system organization, and individual needs, expectations are high and demands are specific.

Engineering Supplement

This program aims to offer Master's students the opportunity to pursue engineering studies at a school within the Institut Mines-Télécom network.

A DOUBLE-DEGREE PROGRAM Master's Degree – Engineering Degree

Building on the complementary nature of engineering programs and the specializations offered in the various master's degree tracks, it is available as a dual master's and engineering degree. Selected students follow specially designed courses, at the end of which students from the Institut Mines-Télécom and its partner institutions have the opportunity to obtain a Master's degree in Science and Digital Technology for Health from the University of Montpellier in addition to their engineering degree, while Master's students have the opportunity to obtain an engineering degree from one of the Institut Mines-Télécom schools in addition to their Master's degree.

The ICT & Health Montpellier training program is aimed at students from the fields of computer science, electronics, and automation, as well as physics, biology, medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy. Since 2010, more than 200 professionals have been trained, nearly 20% of whom through continuing or lifelong education. Career opportunities are mainly in technology companies, IT consulting and service companies, and healthcare organizations, including hospitals, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and prevention organizations.

Responsible:Prof. Gérard Dray

ESNbyUM, the University of Montpellier's School of Digital Health, aims, among other things, to train scientists in the challenges of digital health. Additional teaching units are therefore offered to Master's students in the Faculty of Science in order to enhance their skills in health and raise their awareness of the societal changes brought about by the acceleration of digital technology in the world of health.
