Training
Training organization
The Master's program is organized into four semesters (S1 to S4), structured into compulsory or elective teaching units TU ). Each TU a credit value (ECTS). Each semester is validated by 30 ECTS. The Master's degree is obtained after validating 120 ECTS.
M1: First year of Master's degree
The UEs to follow:
- In S1: Prolegomena: Physics, Mathematics, Algorithms, Cell Biology, and Biological Functions. Experimental Physics; Basic Elements of Radioactivity; Basic Concepts in Health; Health Structures and Issues; Structural Biochemistry; English; PhyMed Project; One TU choice: Experimental Physics/Biochemistry Techniques.
- In S2: Radiation-matter interactions/radiation protection; Physics and propagation of radiation; Radiotherapy; Physics of biological systems; Cellular physiology; Detection and dosimetry of ionizing radiation; Fields of application of ICT in health; M1 PhyMed internship; One TU choice: Sensors and image processing/Neuroprosthetics and medical robotics 1.
M2: Second year of Master's degree
TU follow:
- In S3: Physics of medical imaging; Medical imaging; Biophotonics and mass spectrometry; Nano-probe, near-field, and evanescent wave microscopy; Techniques for protection against external/internal exposure to radioactivity; PhyMed project. One TU choice: Biology and Electronics/Neuroprosthetics and Medical Robotics 2
- In S4: Bibliographic analysis/scientific monitoring; Introduction to business/research
