HAH705P Physics of Ionizing Radiation and Fundamentals of Radiation Protection (3 ECTS)

Description:
This TU an introduction to radiation protection. This course will cover the following topics:
- Dosimetry – Mr. Bardies, 4 hours
- Use of ionization chambers for reference measurements (kTph, kpol, krec (kdec)) with exercises. Use of calorimeters for reference measurements with exercises. Traceability in RT – passive relative dosimeters (TLD, OSL, RPL, alanine, MOSFET, EBT film) – active relative dosimeters (ionization chamber, OSL, MOSFET, diode, diamond, scintillator, matrix); each time I provide some characteristics – J.M. Bordy, 5.5 hours
- Deterministic and stochastic effects and the implementation of operational radiation protection – J.P. Pouget 7 hours; Regulations – F. Petitot 4.5 hours
