Description:
The Mathematics Prerequisites are designed to review or introduce the mathematical concepts at the L3 level (Science track, SPI) that will be used and further developed in the TU the Master’s in Science and Digital Technology for Health.TU to provide students with an overview of the concepts covered and a way to self-assess their mastery of these skills at the start of the program.

Objectives:
Acquisition of skills equivalent to a three-year college degree (Bac+3) in Mathematics.

Required prerequisites:

Bachelor's degree in science or health sciences.

Assessment:

Continuous Integral Control (CIC)

Course Syllabus:

A. Complex numbers: 7th grade

The set of complex numbers, graphical and geometric representations, operations on complex numbers, absolute value, polar form, Moivre’s formula, roots of a complex number, Euler’s formula, elementary functions of a complex number.

B. Linear Algebra: 7 hours (CM)

Matrices, matrix products, determinants, matrix inverses, translation and rotation matrices, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, systems of matrices, solving linear systems.

C. Analysis: 7-hour exam

Sequences, convergence, continuous functions, integration of continuous functions, solving differential equations, linear differential equations, and some applications to mathematical modeling.
